Procedure :
- Think of a common, household object which everyone in the class is familiar with, for example : a bed.
- Ask a student to describe a thing, for example : a bed is something for sleeping
- Then ask them to think some of luxurious things to be explained, for example : a remote control. Then a student can give a short or a longer explanation, for example : a remote control is a device that can be used to change channels o TV.
- Other housebold objects that might be used in your class such as : showers, cooking facilities, cupboards, doors, garden tools, tables, etc.
Variation :
Ask students to describe the cheapest, most environmentally friendly way to make your household objects.
